Menstrual Hygiene Management in Uganda
Florence Amoit keeps her Afripads in a handbag hanging on the wall at her home near Tororo in Eastern Uganda. A student at Aputiri Primary School, which participates in a Menstrual Hygiene Management program supported by Plan International, Florence says she has been using Afripads for about a year, and says they are better than cotton wool because they don't leak. "I used not to go to school because the blood would come out. But I'm now OK."
