Malaria Prevention in Burkina Faso
Twins, Lassane and Adama Ouedraogo (2), under the mosquito net they share with their mother, Kadigueta Ouedraogo (29), in the village of Songodin in the Sanmatenga region of Burkina Faso on 25 February 2014. Mosquito nets greatly decrease the incidence of malaria by reducing the risk of being bitten by the nocturnal Anopheles mosquito, which carries the malaria parasite.
