Woman Filling Containers with Water in Niger
Raga Djibril filling earthenware containers with water from a well refurbished by WaterAid in the village of Gadirga in the Commune of Soukoukoutan in the Dosso Region of Niger on 23 July 2013. She says on most days she fetches a bucket of water in the morning and in the evening. She says there are long queues for water in the dry season, but that during the rainy season (as when this photo was taken) it's easier to get water because villagers can use seasonal pools to water animals, do laundry and so on.
