Menstrual Hygiene Management in Uganda
Catherine Apoyo, pictured on 2 August 2014, keeps her Afripads in a metal trunk of her belongings at her home near Tororo, Uganda. She says, has been using Afripads for three months, and says of them "It's very good. It's comfortable." Previously she would use rags when she had her period, and said, "Sometimes blood would come out onto my skirt, or they can even fall down when you are walking." She would stay home from school at times, because she was not comfortable going out with the rags.
