Menstrual Hygiene Management in Uganda
Catherine Apoyo, an Afripads customer, doing the washing up at her home near Tororo, Uganda on 2 August 2014 as her younger sister, Nosiata Awori, looks at an upside-down photograph. Catherine has been using Afripads for three months, and says of them, "It's very good. It's comfortable." Previously she would use rags when she had her period, and said, "Sometimes blood would come out onto my skirt, or they can even fall down when you are walking." She would stay home from school at times, because she was not comfortable going out using rags.
